To assist you with accessing all of our online meetings, we would like to provide you with some steps and helpful troubleshooting tips to assure that you are able to attend your favorite fellowships! Below are steps to take to join:
Although you can easily join a meeting by clicking this Link , sometimes joining on a web browser can have it’s difficulties and problems can occur. We strongly encourage our users to download the Zoom Workplace App on the device of your choice. You can select the right version for your device through the Zoom Download Center. There you will also notice an option to scan a QR code for mobile devices that will take you the app store where you can install the app on your mobile device, as well as have a sense of security in knowing you can access one of our Pigeon coop meeting from virtually anywhere.
Once the App is installed, or if you choose to join on a web browser, you will be brought to a page that says “Join Meeting”. There you will enter the Meeting ID. The Pigeon Coop does not post our Meeting ID on this website, and the reason for this is respect our members and assure our meetings are a safe place for all, and to limit distractions from Zoom Bombers. Zoom Bombers are unwanted users, who unfortunately join meeting to cause disturbances and interruptions. To assist in preventing these unwanted individuals from joining, we have decided to add an extra layer of protection. If you would like the Meeting ID, and Password to join a meeting, we invite you to join us on our Facebook page. When you request to join our Facebook page, it will ask you to agree to our community guidelines. Please read them and agree, and then, one of our Admins will accept your request.
Our Meeting ID and password is located at the top of our Facebook page, underneath the “Features” option.
Troubleshooting tips
Occasionally, you may encounter some problems. This can happen on video calls. We would like to offer some standard troubleshooting steps to assist.
If you join a meeting and it seems like any audio/connection concerns are affecting all of the zoom participants, please send a message to the host on zoom.
If you are joining from a computer/laptop/tablet or your mobile device through the web browser and begin to experience glitches, or poor sound quality, we first suggest checking your internet or even running a speed test. Sometimes if you have multiple people connected to WIFI this can cause issues to occur and slow the overall speed of your connection down. You may also want to check to see if your service provider is experiencing an outage in your area.
Additionally, quality interference can be caused by having a lack of storage space on your device. Another troubleshooting step we recommend is clearing cache and cookies, then closing and relaunching the web browser, or even trying a different web browser.
Lastly, if you attempted to download the App and an error occurs, it could be that your device does not support the app. On computers/laptops or tablets this can sometimes be resolved through a software update. Normally if an error message appears it will provide you will steps to be taken to resolve the concern. If you were able to successfully install the App, and after awhile of usage it begins to slow down, or errors occur, this could mean that an App update was made. We suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the App then trying again. If you have trouble downloading the mobile App, please check the compatibility of your device, and make sure the OS (Operating System) of your device is up to date and meets zoom requirements.
We hope this information was helpful and resolved any concerns you may have been experiencing!
